Towle Paul Revere Sterling Silver Large Roast Carving Set 15” Knife 11.5” Fork 2 Pc

A handsome antique, large roast carving set in the Paul Revere pattern by Towle, featuring classic sterling silver hollow handles with graceful molded borders and decorative scrollwork at the guards.

The Paul Revere sterling pattern was introduced by Towle in 1906 and became one of the company's enduring traditional patterns.

This substantial two-piece set is considerably larger than many standard carving sets and is well suited for carving and serving roast beef, prime rib, turkey, ham and other large cuts of meat.

Large Roast Carving Knife – approximately 15" long
Large Roast Carving Fork – approximately 11-1/2" long

The handles are sterling silver and marked “STERLING,” as shown in the photographs. The knife blade and carving fork tines are steel rather than stainless steel, which is typical of Towle carving pieces from this era.

The elegant Paul Revere handles feature elongated fluted borders, restrained Colonial styling and ornate scrollwork surrounding the guards. No monograms are present, making this set especially versatile for adding to an existing Paul Revere service or for use as a standalone serving set.

Condition
Pre-owned vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use. The sterling handles remain attractive with crisp decorative detail, along with normal light surface marks and scratches.
Please note that the knife blade and carving fork show considerable age-related spotting, oxidation/pitting, discoloration and surface scratching, all of which are clearly shown in the photographs, and typical of aged carbon steel. We have left these areas visible so the buyer can accurately assess condition. The set presents beautifully overall, particularly through the sterling handles and guards.
